WABC (770 AM, 77 WABC), is a radio station licensed to New York City and is owned by the broadcasting division of Cumulus Media. The station shares studio facilities with sister stations WPLJ, WNSH and WNBM above Pennsylvania Station in midtown Manhattan.
WABC's transmitter is located in Lodi, New Jersey. Its 50,000 watt non-directional clear channel signal can be heard at night throughout much of the eastern United States and Canada. Its programming is also carried on WNSH's HD2 digital sub-channel.
One of the country's oldest radio stations, WABC began broadcasting in early October 1921, originally as WJZ in Newark, New Jersey.
